大葉沢城跡に創建された500年の歴史をもつ古刹です。山の地形を生かした回遊式の庭園は、正面からの眺めはもちろん、築山上部の薬師寺堂前から見下ろした庭園、伽藍、水田、里山の眺望が秀逸です。水の流れと滝の音が聞こえる中、春は山野草、新緑、桜、ツツジ、サツキ、夏は涼風、秋は紅葉、冬は雪景色など、四季折々の景色や空気を楽しみながら散策することができます。住職が丹精込めて育てている山野草も魅力です。

Fusaiji, which was built on the site of Obasawa Castle, is a temple with a 500-year history. The garden is a sight to behold from its front, but especially exquisite when viewed from the worship hall atop the hill—the garden, the temple buildings, the paddy fields and natural scenery, altogether! As you enjoy the sound of the waterfall, the garden is full of amazing scenery year-round, from the wildflowers and wild grass, tenderly cared for by the monks, and cherries and azaleas in spring, to the cool breeze in summer, the colored leaves in autumn, the fluffy white snow in the winter...
