In the 1870s, British explorer Isabella Bird visited the area and declared that the Agano River was more beautiful than the Rhine. The river indeed reveals the changing seasons’ full range of colors.
Sakihana Hot Spring’s Satorikan is located along the Agano River.
The emerald green waters of the sulfur spring are the result of the blessings of the majestic river and the surrounding mountains. They invite the visitors to a healing time amidst the scene.
